In the spring of 2024 NACMS facilitated “Reflecting on the Companions of Adèle” – a reading group utilizing Marianist Fr. Joe Stefanelli’s Companions of Adele –that provided participants with a snapshot into the lives of Marianist Sisters who were close confidants to Adèle de Batz de Trenquelléon (Mother Marie of the Conception). Jenee Gonzales, a Lay Marianist from San Antonio, Texas, shares about her experience in the reading group.

“I was really excited to learn about her [Adèle’s] contemporaries and what life was like for them. . . . Their resilience, their perseverance, the adversities they overcame . . . those are some of the highlights that I really enjoyed. . . . It was nice to be in conversation with everyone [in the reading group] to share space. It was something that I looked forward to.”

Watch this YouTube video to learn more about how Jenee’s involvement enriched her life. Also, consider participating in our upcoming conversation group.
