Marianist History Course for Novices
As part of their first-year in the Novitiate with the Society of Mary or Daughters of Mary Immaculate, Novices participate in our year-long Marianist History Course for Novices. This course meets bi-weekly for the duration of the academic year and is facilitated by NACMS staff. Course content begins with the French School of Spirituality and Pre-Revolutionary France, continues through Fr. Chaminade's last years, and concludes with an exploration of the international expansion current contexts within the Marianist Family.
Marianist Specialist-in-Training Program
Our Marianist Specialist-in-Training Program provides vowed Marianists with a year-long intensive study where they analyze Marianist History, develop a familiarity with key sources used in Marianist Studies, prepare and deliver presentations, observe and engage with program development, and interact with the Marianist Family in a variety of settings. Our NACMS staff, in conjunction with the University of Dayton, facilitates classes, conversations, presentations, research guidance, and mentoring for the participants in this research program.
